Abstract: Watercolour medical illustration depicting cleft lip in a child. It has the alternative reference number 1850, P11 and No. 1 on the front. There is no Richmond Hospital Museum reference. The artist's name is in the bottom right corner 'J. Connolly Del.t' and in the bottom left 'R. Adams. Francis McEvoy aet 14'. The handwritten note on the back reads 'No. 1 see No. 2. This lad had been operated on for simple hare lip [cleft lip] when two years of age, before the [?] took place the child was attacked with measles, the [?] afterwards was irregular. Mr A. performed the usual operation in this case, when the lad was 14 years of age. The result was favourable as seen by reference to No. 2'. This illustration relates to P263/883, portfolio 15.2. —
