Abstract: Six watercolour medical illustrations depicting various nerves. It has the alternative reference number 1511, P17, 449 and 786 on the front. There is no Richmond Hospital Museum reference. The handwritten note on the back reads '1. Portions of the Brachial Plexus, showing enlargement of the median nerve, caused by the deposition of [?] matter around & between the nervous film; the patient had cancer of the breast & ovarian & head of the pancreas. See Dublin Journal. V. p. 2. Portion of the sciatic nerve, taken from a stump; showing enlargement of its extremity, it [?] the seat of pain. 3 & 4. Similar to No. 2. 5. Tumour of a firm fibrous structure formed between the film of political nerve. 6. Median nerve from a stump'. The feint outline of the illustration of a hand can be seen on the back.
