Chilblane: put a hole in a turnip and put some salt into the hole and leave it in the turnip until it would become water and bathe the chilblane with the water every night.

Story collected by Richard Walsh, a student at Scoil na mBráthar, Carraig na Siúire school (Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Tipperary) from informant Mrs Meehan.
