Partly rebuilt in 1759 under the supervision of Joseph Jarratt. Spire dismantled in 1810; the tower and upper stage of entrance front removed in 1836.
The only surviving medieval parish church in Dublin, built 1181-1212. Belltower reconstructed after 1669, and again by Henry Aaron Baker in 1826.
